November 20th, 2025 officially begins 'Handmade Market'! We have plenty of different creative makers for this year that work in a variety of mediums!"

What We're Looking For

Handmade Market is a holiday sale hosted by Union Street Gallery each year for local artists to sell their crafts and we invite makers of aesthetic objects to apply for inclusion as exhibitors in this annual sale! We're looking for artists residing within the immediately connecting midwestern states of Illinois (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri) to setup a table, shelf, or other display to sell their fine craft artworks. An idea of what kinds of work "fine craft" looks like (but is not limited to) is ceramic mugs/dishes, glassware, various forms of reproducible prints, cards, jewelry, pins, accessories, candles, dioramas, figures, and more! This hub of shopping for artful gifts offers a full month of display and sales on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from November 20th through December 20th, 2025. Each exhibitor may choose to set up a table or wall display of their artworks. Artists need not be present for all open days of the show. They should, however, attend the receptions on both November 22nd and December 20th. Two Best Display Awards will be given, juried by Peoples Choice during the four weeks of the show.

An idea of what we're NOT looking for includes (but is not limited to) food, store-bought items, and not-for-sale (NFS) artworks or wall hangings.

'Handmade Market' is meant to sell works that are handmade by you!

Market Dates

Showing: November 20th - December 20th 

Opening Reception: November 22nd from 10AM to 5PM.

Acceptance Dates: Acceptances will begin to go out on November 6th and will conclude on November 13th

Artwork Drop-off Dates: November 13th, 14th, and 15th

Artwork Pickup Dates: December 20th after 4 PM, December 23rd, and December 27th by appointment.

Commissions:

Union Street Gallery takes 30% of all sales made and will have checks available for pickup at the end of the market.

A completed inventory sheet for all of your work will be required by the of drop-off date.

 Additional Notes

For Handmade Market, we only accept in person drop offs and pickups. Artworks are not to be shipped to or from Union Street Gallery, so please plan on dropping off and picking your artwork up in person.
